Electrical Lead Data Centre Construction: Key Duties & Responsibilities Salary & Benefits Package
Our client is a multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK and Europe with a turnover of €750m and sustained annual growth of 5%–7.5%. They deliver large-scale, turnkey projects for blue-chip clients, with a strong focus on data centres and other technology-heavy developments.
Due to continued growth and a recent major project win, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to take full responsibility for the electrical services delivery on a flagship data centre project in Düsseldorf, Germany. This is a senior, site-based leadership role on a complex, high-value, mission-critical project.
• Overall responsibility for the delivery of all electrical services on the project
• Lead the electrical scope from design coordination through procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, specialist vendors, and suppliers
• Act as the primary technical authority on site for electrical systems, including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, containment, earthing, and BMS/EMS interfaces
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Review and approve technical submissions, drawings, specifications, and method statements
• Manage RFIs, change control, and technical queries in collaboration with the wider project team
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, CSA, commissioning, and project management teams
• Drive compliance with project specifications, German regulations, and client standards
• Lead and support testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing (IST) activities
• Liaise directly with the client, consultants, utility providers, and third-party inspectors
